Oceania’s New Riviera Nears Completion at Fincantieri Yard in Genoa

Oceania Cruises’ newest ship Riviera is nearing completion at Fincantieri’s Sestri Ponente shipyard near Genoa, Italy. The line’s founder and chairman, Frank Del Rio, and the vessel operations team has been on-site for the last two weeks focused on every detail.

Oceania’s Riviera Boasts Lalique Staircase, Custom Chandelier

Oceania Cruises’ new Riviera, launching in May, has a number of noteworthy design features, including a two-story Lalique staircase and a custom-crafted Italian chandelier accented by 380 crystal spheres. Designed by Lalique, the fabled French glassware firm, the double-curved staircases feature a balcony with balustrades of crystal medallions and scrolled iron. Oceania Hosts Chefs for Bon Appétit Wine & Food Festival

Oceania Cruises will welcome food and wine experts on two 10-day “Bon Appétit Wine & Food Festival” European cruises this October. Chef Stephen Lewandowski of New York’s Tribeca Grill and Chef Ken Oringer of Clio in Boston will offer demonstrations, cooking classes and market tours in select ports along with wine tastings and dinners featuring recipes from Bon Appétit.
